I have decided to make an attempt to craft all the furnishings in my houses and for my book myself or at least as much as I can before it drives me nutty. A first attempt at upholstery, miniature or otherwise, was met with grand results. Crafted from cotton on the bias (the pattern looks way better this way), felt, and cardboard. I wish I had a big version of this chair because all the padding I added to it makes it so squishy and comfortable.
I love finding fabric patterns that work so well in miniature and they last forever because you use so little of them. I bought some very saturated colors for miniature upholstery and tailoring since most of the suitable fabrics I have in my stash are neutrals. I love the little patterns.
I think Fox likes it too :)
